Show the working
  1. Energy a day: 2,000 W × 3 h ÷ 1000 = 6 kWh
  2. Over 365 days: 6 × 365 = 2,190 kWh

How it works

  1. Energy a day (kWh) = power (W) × hours a day ÷ 1000
  2. Energy over the period = energy a day × days
  3. Cost = energy × your unit rate (standing charges are not included)

We don't hold any electricity prices: enter the unit rate from your own bill.
