Coping: count the coping units from the wall length and the coping maker's unit length (there's no separate calculator yet).

Questions for your builder

• How deep and wide should the footing be for this height of wall and this ground?
• Does the wall need piers or movement joints at this length?
• Is it retaining soil? A retaining wall needs an engineer's design.
• Does a wall this high next to a road or footpath need planning permission?
